Things: In Touch with the Past

April 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

A Conversation with Carolyn Korsmeyer

The thrill, wonder, marvel, and savoring of encounters with tangible real objects is a variety of aesthetic experience that old things (and only genuine old things) can provide. We respond to the perceptible properties of an object but also to what it actually is. “Touch” forms a chain of acquaintance, even over centuries.
